Work Placement
To satisfy the practical component of this qualification, you are required to complete 280 hours of vocational placement within an early childhood education workplace.
You may complete these hours with a current employer, or if you are not currently employed or volunteering in the industry, you will be required to find a suitable early childhood service to implement your new skills.
Completing placement is compulsory, so please ensure you can arrange your personal commitments around placement to allow you sufficient time to complete your hours.
Blue Card
To successfully satisfy all course requirements you will be required to apply for a Blue Card (working with children check).
Qualification awarded
Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a nationally recognised CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care awarded by Training Tailor Made, RTO Provider Number 31729.
Entry Requirements
Entry to this qualification is open to individuals who:
- currently hold a CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
- are able to obtain a Blue Card
It is also recommended that students
- Have language, literacy and numeracy skills that ensure the ability to read and comprehend technical terms, and have effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Have access to a computer
- Have basic computing skills
Placement (280 Hours)
If you are not currently employed or volunteering in the industry, you will be required to complete vocational placement to implement your new skills. You will discuss your hours with your placement service, and you will be expected to work for the shifts offered by your placement provider. Shifts may include early mornings, day time, or afternoons, any day of the week, and may include weekends or public holidays. TTM may be able to assist in arranging suitable placements.
Completing placement is compulsory, please ensure you arrange your personal commitments to allow you sufficient time to complete placement.
To gain your qualification, you are required to complete 280 hours of placement to satisfy the practical component of your qualification.
