Course Details

1. Prerequisites: There are no formal entry requirements
2. Duration: 12 months
3. Theory: 18 units in total (15 Core units and 3 Elective units)
4. Delivery: Online with ongoing support from your Trainer/Assessor
5. Assessments: Written assessments and practical assessments, no essays or exams
6. Practical: 120 hours of Vocational Placement required. This can be completed with your current employer
7. Next Intake: Course runs on a rolling intake, you can begin at any time

Entry Requirements

Student must already hold the Certificate III in Individual Support (or superseded qualification) and be an Existing Worker in the Aging industry sector, which includes parents and unpaid carers of NDIS participants – subsidy amounts and conditions apply to new students from 13 January 2020. It is recommended that you:

• Have sufficient language, literacy, and numeracy skills
• Have access to a computer
• Have basic computing skills
• Be able to obtain a Blue Card
• Be at least 15 years of age
